For 17 years Flamingo Clay Studio/ Clay Glass Metal Stone Gallery have brought arts and culture to the core of the second poorest city in the largest county east of the Mississippi.

Culture builds communities and is at the core of all efforts.  Hundreds of teens have taken part in classes and cultural community service.  Scores of senior artists have found a place to land and create works. 

The community has been supported by the many fund-raisers and festivals planned in the gallery and outside on the streets.  Music and arts flow from the building and find collaboration with the other cultural partners nearby.
